KEY MESSAGES

- The El Niño - Southern Oscillation (ENSO) is currently at the Alert status, although there are signs of possible reaching El Niño

- JULY: Above normal  (wetter - than - normal) rainfall is forecast for the Northern Islands of Tuvalu.  And below normal (drier - than - normal) rainfall is expected across the central and southern Islands.

- Maximum and Minimum temperatures during  July- September 2026 are likely to be above normal over Tuvalu, except Maximum temperature for Niulakita is near average temperature.

-  SST around Tuvalu are forecast to be above average.

- FCZ for the next 3 months, July- September 2026, is forecast to be located close to Nukulaelae and south of it climatology position.

- Coral Bleaching outlook shows on Watch over the Northern groups of Tuvalu.
