Situation: A trough of low pressure lies slowly moving over Tuvalu. Meanwhile, a strong westerly wind flow affects the central and southern group.

Forecast for this morning until 6:00 pm.
Overcast to cloudy with brief showers of rain at times.
For the Central and Southern group: North-west to westerly winds 10 to 20 knots gusting up to 25 knots over land areas, 20 to 25 knots, gusting
up to 35 knots over open waters. Seas rough with north-westerly swells 2 to 3 meters, easing. For the Northern group: North-east to easterly winds
05 to 10 knots. Seas slight with north-westerly swells 2 to 3 meters, easing. Maximum air temperature: 30.0°C. Average air temperature: 28.0°C.

Inundation Information: Inundated of low-lying and coastal areas, swamps and barrow pits overflow affected by the spring tide
of the next month will start this afternoon and continue until Thursday. Spring tide will peak on Monday, the 02nd of February 2026.
