Situation: A strong South-easterly wind flow affects the southern group. Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure lies slowly moving over Tuvalu.

Forecast for this morning until 6:00 pm:
Partly cloudy to cloudy with passing showers of rain at times.
For the Southern group: East to south-easterly winds 15 to 20 knots, gusting up to 25 knots over land areas, but 20 to 25 knots gusting up to 30 knots over open waters. Seas rough with southerly swells 2 to 3 meters.
Elsewhere: Easterly winds 10 to 15 knots with higher winds at times. Seas moderate.
Maximum air temperature: 32.5°C. Average air temperature: 28.0°C.
