WARNING: A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS INFORCE OVER OPEN WATERS OF THE SOUTHERN GROUP OF TUVALU.

Situation: A strong east to south-easterly wind flow affects the southern group of Tuvalu. Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure is approaching the group from the east and may cover Nukulaelae, Funafuti and the central group.

Forecast for this morning until 6:00 pm:
For Niulakita and the Northern group: mostly sunny.
Elsewhere, Cloudy periods to overcast with passing showers of rain at times.
For the Southern group: south-easterly winds 15 to 20 knots gusting up to 25 knots over land areas, but 20 to 25 knots gusting up to 30 knots over open waters.
Elsewhere, easterly winds 10 to 15 knots with higher winds at times.
For Central and the Southern group: Seas rough with southeast swells 2 to 3 meters.
Elsewhere, Seas moderate to rough.
Maximum air temperature: 31.5°C. Average air temperature: 27.5°C.
