KEY MESSAGES

-  El Niño - Southern Oscillation (ENSO) is currently at El Niño status.

- Maximum temperature for August - October 2026 are very likely to be above normal over Tuvalu, except Niulakita with near average temperature.

- SST Temperature (SSTs) are forecast to be above average from Nanumea to Funafuti and across.

- FCZ (purple line) for the next three months, August - October 2026, is forecast to be located close to Nukulaelae and south of it climatological position (geen line).
