Situation: A strong south-easterly wind flow continues to affect the Southern group of Tuvalu. Meanwhile, an active trough of low pressure with associated cloud and showers affects the group.
Forecast for this morning until 6:00 pm:
Overcast with occasional showers of rain, heavy at times, and possible thunderstorms.
For the Southern group: South-easterly winds 20 to 25 knots gusting up to 30 knots over land areas, and 25 to 30 knots gusting up to 35 knots over open waters.
Seas very rough with South-easterly wind waves 2 to 4 meters.
Elsewhere, Southeast to easterly winds 15 to 20 knots with higher winds near squalls.
Seas moderate to rough with South-easterly wind waves 2 to 3 meters.
Maximum air temperature: 29.0°C. Minimum air temperature: 25.5°C.
